22 Artists for the 2021 Edition of the Exhibition <20 del 2021

22 Italian and international artists have been invited this year to take part in the VIII Edition of the exhibition <20 15×15/20×20 | PUNTO SULL’ARTE Collection, an iconic and highly awaited formula of the gallery.

The opening reception of the exhibition will be held on THURSDAY, JUNE 17 from 3 to 7 pm at PUNTO SULL’ARTE – Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61.

Core element since the first edition of this show is, as always, the square formats – 15×15 cm and 20×20 cm. There are no constraints on subjects and techniques, but only on the size of the work, so all the artists are free to express and can prove themselves on such a challenging research.

Among the artists of the gallery and some new entries, the new edition of the Exhibition <20 15×15/20×20 will be also an opportunity to have a preview on the upcoming exhibitions of the gallery.

Among the new entries of the VIII Edition there are Roberto BERNARDI, one of the most important exponents of the photorealist genre, the artistic duo CASAGRANDE&RECALCATI, Andrea GNOCCHI and Jean Marc AMIGUES – who were protagonists of a trio show last January at PUNTO SULL’ARTE – the Swedish Johannes NIELSEN, Tom PORTA, the Japanese Fujio NISHIDA and Silvio PORZIONATO, that will be the protagonist of a solo show in Varese next autumn.

Together with them we are glad to announce the return of ANNALÙ – one of the most representative artists of the Gallery – Daniele CESTARI with his vibrant urban landscapes and Ottorino DE LUCCHI with his perfect still lives on black backgrounds. The show will see also the variety of Michael GAMBINO’s butterflies and the powerful glass sculptures of Silvia LEVENSON. Matteo MASSAGRANDE will be also back with his renowned interiors together with Marta MEZYNSKA’s accurate architectures and Ciro PALUMBO’s metaphysical paintings. Giorgia OLDANO will present, for the first time in Varese, some monotypes, Alex PINNA a selection of rope artworks of the series “Alias”, while Rudy PULCINELLI presents refined sculptures made of burnt wood, concrete and iron. Paolo QUARESIMA will also take part in the exhibition with his impeccable compositions and Valeria VACCARO with her marble sculptures.

The artworks on show are created with the most varied artistic techniques: from monotypes to drybrush, from glass to rope, from marble to paper, up until the most traditional oil and acrylic colors. All the artworks have been thought specifically for this exhibition and have therefore been designed as unique works.

Another recurring element is the exhibition formula: a continuous line of works creates a union among all the exhibiting rooms of the gallery. The first room at the ground floor is dedicated to the smaller format 15×15 cm, while the second and the adjacent one are thought for works 20×20 cm: the aim is to create continuity not only between formats and artists, but also among the gallery spaces.

The exhibition is accompanied by a BILINGUAL CATALOGUE created by PUNTO SULL’ARTE containing the reproduction of the exhibited artworks.

The event is organized in compliance with the health regulations issued by Italian Governement and the access to the Gallery will be limited. It is recommended to book a time slot from 3 to 7 pm for visiting the exhibition and avoiding waiting times.
