Renowned sculptor Valeria Vaccaro returns to the PUNTO SULL’ARTE Gallery in Varese for her solo exhibition FIRE WALK WITH ME, curated by Ivan Quaroni. The VERNISSAGE of the exhibition will be held on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 30, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the gallery’s main location on Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61 in Varese (Casbeno). The artist and the curator will be exceptionally present.

At PUNTO SULL’ARTE, Valeria Vaccaro blends the mimetic sculptural tradition with the avant-garde legacy of the 20th century and post-conceptual trends. FIRE WALK WITH ME is the new solo exhibition of the Turin sculptor, showcasing alongside her famous series Marmiferi, Urban Platform, Handle with Care, Aver Cuore, Non Brucio, and Tree of Life, new works that are part of her latest research titled Controsenso.

From the beginning of her career, Vaccaro has shaped a distinctive language capable of uniting the enduring monumentality of marble, her preferred material, with opposite and disorienting themes such as fragility and metamorphosis. All her sculptural production, from Marmiferi to Controsenso, is characterized by the traces of combustion that the artist skillfully recreates on marble. Valeria Vaccaro has always been fascinated by fire due to its alchemical potential for transformation.
