Valeria Vaccaro – Alpemare Forte dei Marmi
PUNTO SULL’ARTE is pleased to announce the creation of an artistic installation featuring Valeria Vaccaro at Alpemare, the renowned Beach Club in Forte dei Marmi, owned by Andrea Bocelli and his family.
‘It’s Break Time‘ is the new site-specific installation resulting from the collaboration between PUNTO SULL’ARTE, Valeria Vaccaro, and Daniele Comelli Art Gallery, in synergy with Architect Alberto Bartali. The work draws inspiration from the moment of school recreation, that brief moment of freedom and lightness that every student eagerly awaits.
In the classroom imagined by the artists, Valeria Vaccaro and Jonathan Griffith, paper airplanes are crafted by students, while other pupils engage in drawing with colored pencils: small gestures that convey the joy of leisure, spontaneous creativity, and play. Due to its symbolic significance, the installation finds its place in a setting dedicated to relaxation and well-being: the luxury beach establishment ‘Alpemare’ in Forte dei Marmi. It is an ideal context to celebrate the importance of taking a break—at any age.
Valeria Vaccaro conducts profound research on materials, transforming marble, a noble and durable substance, into wooden pencils. Her refined technique and attention to detail manage to blur the gaze and our perception. The sculptor from Turin elevates an everyday object, like a simple pencil, turning it into an extraordinary work of art.
This is ‘It’s Break Time’. Enjoy your break!
