“The move from the historic locations on Via San Martino della Battaglia to the 17th-century building between Via Albuzzi and Vicolo Santa Chiara marks a turning point. The restoration of the inner courtyard is also planned. There was a time when elegant shoes were tried on in those spaces, and more recently a time when pizza by the slice was baked there. But from today, the corner of Via Albuzzi and Vicolo Santa Chiara smells of fresh paint, 17th-century history, and international creativity.

Sofia Macchi, the driving force behind Punto sull’Arte, cut the ribbon of her gallery’s new headquarters in the center of Varese, surrounded by an all-female team that has become the trademark of this cultural enterprise rooted in the city. The mayor, Davide Galimberti, was also present at the opening and welcomed the initiative as something that is not only commercial but also an act of urban regeneration…”
