Here, among giraffe-girls, bull-children, and young foxes with the bodies of little girls, unfolds the magical moment when the child is about to become an adolescent, beginning to discover within themselves their most authentic instinct — symbolized by the animal headgear worn by each figure.
Rendered with the mastery of an acute observer and as fresh as snapshots, the sculptures capture the instant when awareness emerges, just before the rules of adulthood begin to stifle the candor of truth.
