PUNTO SULL’ARTE reopens the exhibition season with an unmissable double opening. IN-LEAF is the group show with which the gallery, featuring 17 internationally renowned artists, celebrates autumn—a season of new beginnings and important events. Alongside IN-LEAF, PUNTO SULL’ARTE is pleased to present IN-WILD, the first solo exhibition in Varese by sculptor Simone Benedetto.
Both vernissages will take place on Saturday, September 27, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the gallery’s main location in Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61, Varese. Some of the artists and the curator Alessandra Redaelli will be present.

To Simone Benedetto—a young sculptor from Turin who merges the spontaneity of childhood and the wild joy of instinct in his resin and bronze figures—the gallery dedicates a solo exhibition: IN-WILD. In this show, giraffe-girls, bull-boys, and fox-children with adolescent bodies give shape to the magical moment when a child begins to transition into adolescence, awakening to their truest instincts. This instinct is symbolized by an animal headpiece worn by each figure. Rendered with the skill of an acute observer and the freshness of a snapshot, the sculptures capture the moment in which awareness begins to emerge—just before the rules of adulthood suppress the purity of truth. Pouts, silences, moments of reflection, joyful impulses, silent games, and acts of courage create a gallery of exquisite portraits, where textured surfaces—reminiscent of impressionist effects—bring vitality and luminosity to each figure.

Some of the artists and curator Alessandra Redaelli will be present at the public vernissages on Saturday, September 27, from 11 AM to 1 PM at PUNTO SULL’ARTE’s main location in Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61, Varese. Both exhibitions will remain on view until October 25, 2025.

SIMONE BENEDETTO was born in Turin in 1985. He received his academic training at the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, where he graduated with honors in Sculpture and Plastic Arts. His artistic research focuses on identity and the profound themes of childhood and play, which form the core of his practice. Thanks to his versatility, Benedetto has mastered various materials—including concrete, resin, silicone, and traditional bronze. His works are not merely aesthetic creations but the result of deliberate, calibrated gestures and technical skill, giving his figures an astonishing realism. A defining element of his art is the child-animal hybrid, a powerful metaphor for the psychological transformation that occurs during the crucial development of personality. Through meticulous sculptural technique, Benedetto captures the universal sensation of inner change and evolution experienced from childhood onward. His sculptures go beyond representation, offering viewers opportunities for reflection on complex and delicate themes—social, existential, and human—approached with an authentically original and innovative gaze. Benedetto’s works have gained significant recognition, having been exhibited in prestigious venues such as Domus Lascaris and Palazzo Saluzzo in Turin. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Italy and abroad. At PUNTO SULL’ARTE, he took part in the group show “<20 15×15/20×20” (2024) and is the featured artist in the solo exhibition “IN-WILD” (2025). He currently lives and works in Turin.
