PUNTO SULL’ARTE, when cultural Varese doubles
Two in one: the Varese showroom moves from Via San Martino to a single gallery at the corner of Via Albuzzi and Vicolo Santa Chiara, featuring two bright display windows and an elegant interior where artists’ works will be exhibited. The new space naturally joins the main gallery in Viale Sant’Antonio in Casbeno, where “Punto sull’Arte” will continue to host major exhibitions. The next one, opening on March 21 and curated by Ivan Quaroni, will be dedicated to the talent of Matteo Massagrande.
Two in one: “Punto sull’Arte” closes its locations on Via San Martino in Varese and focuses its presence in the historic city center on a single gallery on Via Albuzzi at the corner with Vicolo Santa Chiara. The space features two bright display windows and an elegant interior where works by the artists represented by gallery owner Sofia Macchi will mainly be exhibited. The Varese showroom naturally connects with the main gallery in Viale Sant’Antonio in Casbeno, where “Punto sull’Arte” will continue presenting major exhibitions. The next one, opening on March 21 and curated by Ivan Quaroni, will highlight the talent of Matteo Massagrande, featuring a series of new works dedicated to urban environments and landscapes.
“The opening of the new exhibition space—formerly the location of Macchi1941, which has now moved to the end of Corso Matteotti—will take place on Friday, February 20, from 5 to 8 pm, with the presence of many artists whose works are represented in the gallery, including Annalù, Valeria Vaccaro, and Roberto Bernardi. In fact, on Via Albuzzi we will permanently display paintings and sculptures by artists such as Marika Vicari, Jernej Forbici, Matteo Massagrande, Lene Kilde, Silvia Levinson, Valentina Diena, Tom Porta, Alex Pinna, and Luca Gastaldo,” says Chiara De Bernardi, who will be present in the gallery from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Viale Sant’Antonio location will continue to be managed by Chiara Boga and Silvia Dell’Acqua, along with the owner Sofia Macchi.
“Compared to Via San Martino, there is much more foot traffic here, and people have already shown a lot of curiosity about our new space, which is brighter and more welcoming thanks to the large display windows that give great visibility to the works on display.”
