Light has the power to bring things to life

Light and silence are the essential elements in the works of Ottorino De Lucchi and Raffaele Minotto, now in dialogue at the PUNTO SULL’ARTE Gallery in Varese. In their dual solo exhibition Echi di Luce (Echoes of Light), curated by Alessandra Redaelli, Minotto’s sumptuous interiors of Venetian villas merge with the timeless elegance of De Lucchi’s still lifes.The viewer is invited to observe in silence, allowing the light to reveal things as they are—without superimposing words or images. The rooms of palaces in Asolo and Padua, long a focus of Minotto’s artistic research, seem to vibrate under the caress of light: wandering among crystalware and laid tables, carpets and sofas, open windows that let in the golden dust motes shimmering across the entire surface.
