Valeria Vaccaro: Italian Contemporary Sculptor

Discover the extraordinary sculptures in white Carrara marble created by artist Valeria Vaccaro. Her ability to transform marble into works that resemble wood is truly unique. Among her most significant creations:

  • "Marmifero": oversized matchsticks
  • "Handle with Care": transport crates
  • "Urban Platform": pallets

Additionally, the vibrant giant pencils "Supermina" with the inscription "Giotto" evoke the pencils of our childhood, but they are made of marble.

The Art of Valeria Vaccaro

Valeria's art plays with contrasts between heavy and light, eternal and ephemeral, precious and ordinary. Each work exemplifies elegance and impeccable execution, where marble becomes a symbol of contemporary liquid society.

Valeria is fascinated by fire and its alchemical significance, using it as a transformative element. Fire can transform everything, rendering marble, her primary expressive material, into works that appear charred and burned by flames.
