They seemed to come out of the pages of Calvin’s Viscount halved. Faces carved only in half, bodies divided, cut in two by a knife. These are the silent anatomies of Johannes Nielsen, one of the greatest Swedish sculptors of the same generation, represented in Italy by the Varese gallery PUNTO SULL’ARTE, founded in 2011 by Sofia Macchi and today a reference point for Italian and international Contemporary Art.
