I PAESAGGI IMPROBABILI
by Ginevra Bacilieri

Ciro Palumbo paints the unconscious

Mindscape is a neologism that combines psyche and landscape: it is also used by Vittorio Lingiardi, a Jungian psychoanalyst, who wrote the book of the same name on Mindscapes  (Raffaello Cortina, 2017). “Rivers, mountains, ruins and beaches – writes Lingiardi – inhabit our mind, our travels and our dreams. As psychic objects they are immersed in our memory, and perhaps they date back to the first meet with the face of those who looked at us. Or he looked away. To be in the world we need to know the landscape. Above all, we must have many places within us to have any hope of being ourselves”.
