KYOJI NAGATANI | in Varese

One day with Kyoji Nagatani

PUNTO SULL’ARTE is glad to announce that on Sunday, March 24, 2024, the well-known Japanese artist Kyoji Nagatani will present a new series of bronze sculptures.  The event, which will take place at the main gallery of PUNTO SULL’ARTE, Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61 Varese, at 11am-1pm/2pm-5pm, will be a unique opportunity to meet the artist and discover the philosophy behind his refined works. The new sculptures will remain on display on the upper floor until April 27, 2024.

Kyoji Nagatani, after spending the last few years in Japan, returns to his beloved Italy and in particular to Varese, to present a series of previously unexhibited works. His art has always had two hearts: that of the great oriental tradition (for its simplification and essential minimalism) and that of the history of European art, which he studied and loved, of which we can recognize suggestions ranging from Manzù and Brancusi to Arnaldo Pomodoro, up to sinking its roots in the composure and symbolism of Piero della Francesca.
