Marika Vicari: between nature, memory and suspended visions
Discover the poetic works of Marika Vicari, an artist who has always celebrated the grace of trees and the silent strength of nature. In her paintings, suspended forests and undefined landscapes emerge as dreamlike visions — archetypes of what our mind evokes at the word “forest.” Her compositions, created with graphite, watercolor, and wood, alternate monochromatic blacks and whites with delicate tonal nuances that evoke memories, emotions, and fleeting impressions.
Among the recurring subjects in her work:
-
Suspended forests: slender trees that seem to float between reality and dream.
-
Inner landscapes: interrupted horizons and fragments of memory.
-
Imaginary woods: soulful places where nature and emotion merge.
The art of Marika Vicari
Marika’s art is a continuous dialogue between humankind and nature, between presence and dissolution. In her works, the essential nature of the line and the lightness of watercolor express the fragility and transience of human existence. Her forests become metaphors of the soul — symbols of introspection and silent resilience.
In recent years, the artist has expanded her research by experimenting with cotton paper, adding a new transparency and an almost ethereal dimension to her works. Each piece is a suspension between reality and dream, an invitation to lose oneself in the rhythm of landscape and thought.
