Kintsugi by Lorenzo e Simona Perrone: A unique work of art
Discover Kintsugi by Lorenzo and Simona Perrone, a sculpture that expresses the beauty of fragility and repair through the ancient Japanese art from which it takes its name. An open white book, traversed by golden cracks, becomes a symbol of resilience, memory, and rebirth. On view in the group exhibition <20 15×15/20×20 XII Edition at Galleria PUNTO SULL’ARTE in Varese.
The artists: Lorenzo and Simona Perrone
Lorenzo Perrone (Milan, 1944) and Simona Vanzetto (Florence, 1958) have collaborated for over twenty years on the LibriBianchi project. Their practice focuses on the book as a cultural archetype, using materials like plaster, glue, barbed wire, glass, and wood to create a powerful visual language where art meets activism.
Description
In Kintsugi, the golden cracks running across the book’s surface evoke a conscious healing: imperfection is not hidden, but celebrated. The artwork invites reflection on vulnerability as a form of strength and on memory as a precious trace of what we have been.
Conclusion
Kintsugi moves with its poetic language and symbolic power. Discover it in the <20 15×15/20×20 XII Edition exhibition at Galleria PUNTO SULL’ARTE in Varese. A work that speaks of scars—but also of light.
