Glicine di Matteo Massagrande – Paesaggio esterno con casa abbandonata immersa nella vegetazione e avvolta da un glicine lilla. Galleria PUNTO SULL'ARTE, Varese, Italia

Glicine by Matteo Massagrande

With Glicine, Matteo Massagrande introduces us to an outdoor landscape suspended in time. An abandoned house emerges from lush vegetation, wrapped in a blooming lilac wisteria that spreads across the front of the structure. Soft, dusty light envelops the scene, transforming the silence of the place into a poetic narrative suspended between memory and contemplation.

The artist: Matteo Massagrande

Matteo Massagrande (Padua, 1959) is one of the leading figures of the new Italian figurative art movement. His paintings portray rooms and abandoned places inhabited by a single presence: light. A soft and suspended light that restores intensity to emptiness and transforms absence into essence. Active since 1973, he has exhibited in over one hundred solo shows in Italy and abroad, with works included in museums, churches, and prestigious collections, among them the Uffizi’s Prints and Drawings Cabinet. He lives and works between Padua and Hajòs (Hungary).
