The artists: Lorenzo e Simona Perrone
Since 2006, Lorenzo and Simona Perrone have developed the LibriBianchi project, an artistic research centered on the book as both object and symbol. Using real books transformed with plaster, water, and other materials, the artists explore themes of memory, knowledge, and cultural identity, creating works of strong symbolic significance.
Description
In E pluribus unum, a plurality of books comes together in a single harmonious composition, evoking the relationship between the individual and the collective. White, a distinctive element of the artists’ visual language, neutralizes differences and focuses attention on the form and meaning of the work, transforming the book into an archetype of culture and knowledge.
