Charlotte by Claudia Giraudo

With Charlotte, Claudia Giraudo continues her exploration of childhood as a suspended space between reality, imagination, and instinctive dimension. The young protagonist of the painting appears immersed in a theatrical and fairy-tale atmosphere, while the small animal held in her arms becomes a symbol of a deep connection with her most authentic nature.

The artist: Claudia Giraudo

Claudia Giraudo was born in Turin in 1974 and graduated with top honors from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Professor Franco Fanelli. Her artistic research develops within contemporary figurative painting through an in-depth study of Renaissance and Northern European Masters, references that emerge in the refined technique and suspended atmosphere of her works. Her child figures, immersed in symbolic and fairy-tale-like scenes, establish a constant dialogue with guiding animals representing the instinctive and spiritual dimension of human beings. She regularly exhibits in galleries, art fairs, and public institutions in Italy and abroad. She lives and works in Piedmont.

In Charlotte, the young figure is portrayed as an image suspended between sweetness and subtle inquietude. The animal held in her arms is not simply a narrative element, but a symbolic manifestation of the girl’s inner identity. The composition, enriched with theatrical references and soft tones, enhances the sense of intimacy and silent transformation that permeates the artwork.
