Ana Kapor

Serbia (SRB), 1964

The works of Ana Kapor are distinguished by ancestral atmospheres, calmness, and visionary quality, creating almost magical landscapes that find a delicate balance between dream and reality. Her landscapes, with their enveloping tones and evocative details, are reassuring and immersed in a nature that appears both mysterious and familiar. This duality is what makes the visual experience so engaging, capable of providing peace and serenity to the soul and the gaze. Kapor's art is not only an invitation to observe but also to feel part of that suspended world, where time seems to stand still and beauty manifests in every nuance.

Ana Kapor completed her studies in Rome, graduating from the Accademia di Belle Arti in 1987. From the outset, her works received widespread appreciation from the public, leading to an intense exhibition activity. Her paintings, in addition to being displayed in Italian and international galleries, have been featured at significant international art fairs: MiArt, Artissima in Torino (IT), St.Art in Strasburgo (FR), Art Fair Miami, and Art Fair Karlsruhe (DE). In 2008, along with her husband, Ana Kapor was the protagonist of a major retrospective exhibition at the Panorama Museum in Bad Frankenhausen, Germany. In 2011, she was invited to participate in the Italian Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale in the concluding exhibition at the Nervi Hall in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Torino. She is the winner of the 65th Edition of the Michetti Prize and the 41st Edition of the Sulmona Prize. Recently, she has held several exhibitions in prestigious spaces, including the Museo della Civiltà Romana. She lives and works in Rome.
