The artists Lorenzo and Simona Perrone
Since 2006, Lorenzo and Simona Perrone have been developing LibriBianchi, an artistic project that places the book at the heart of their creative practice. Using real books transformed with plaster, water, and other materials, they explore themes of memory, knowledge, and the transmission of culture, creating works of profound symbolic meaning.
Description
In Fahrenheit, the book is marked by a deep burn running across its pages, recalling themes of censorship and the destruction of knowledge. The transformed material becomes a powerful metaphor for the fragility of culture and the importance of preserving collective memory.
