Alzarina by Claudia Giraudo

With Alzarina, Claudia Giraudo continues her exploration of the relationship between identity, imagination, and symbolic dimension through a figure suspended between reality and inner vision. The artwork creates a silent and contemplative atmosphere in which the guiding bird becomes a symbol of listening, transformation, and connection with nature.

The artist: Claudia Giraudo

Claudia Giraudo was born in Turin in 1974 and graduated with top honors from the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Professor Franco Fanelli. Her artistic research develops within contemporary figurative painting through an in-depth study of Renaissance and Northern European Masters, references that emerge in the refined technique and suspended atmosphere of her works. Her child figures, immersed in symbolic and fairy-tale-like scenes, establish a constant dialogue with guiding animals representing the instinctive and spiritual dimension of human beings. She regularly exhibits in galleries, art fairs, and public institutions in Italy and abroad. She lives and works in Piedmont.

The theatrical clothing, elaborate headdress, and the presence of the bird evoke imagery suspended between ritual, memory, and inner transformation. Giraudo’s smooth and luminous painting enhances the enigmatic quality of the artwork, creating a poetic and deeply evocative image.
